Tim dedicated 25 years to military healthcare, culminating in his retirement as a Navy Commander in 2022. Tim's original desire was to attend college after high school for a degree in athletic training. Since college isn't free he figured he would enlist in the Navy for 5 years and take advantage of the education benefits and then attend University. 25 years, one wife, two dogs and no degree in athletic training later he hung up his military uniform and decided to focus his efforts towards fitness for golfers. In his 25 year military career, aside from an amazing wife and great dogs he was able to scrounge together a bachelors degree from Washington State University’s College of Nursing, a masters degree in Business Administration from Liberty University, a masters degree in Public Health from Eastern Virginia Medical School, a post graduate degree in Global Health and a commission as a U.S. Naval Officer. Additionally, in his off duty time he earned certifications as a health coach, USA Weightlifting Sport Performance Coach, a level 2 CrossFit coach and Corrective Exercise Specialist. Tim has coached both group and individual fitness classes in CrossFit gyms from Virginia to Japan. Tim is also an expert in general health and wellness and has developed and consulted on multiple programs for the U.S. Navy and U.S. Department of Defense focused on population health, diabetes, obesity and weight management for active duty and family beneficiaries. After retiring from the military, Tim merged his passion and expertise in health and fitness with his love of golf. He earned his level 1 certification through the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) and a TPI level 2 fitness certification. He is focused on furthering his knowledge of golf performance optimization and working towards additional certifications in strength and conditioning and golf biomechanics.
